It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has been falsely implicated in course of a commercial dispute. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits petitioner was dealing in goods bearing deceptively similar mark.

We have considered the materials on record. Alleged goods have already been seized. In view of the aforesaid, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of the accused/petitioner for progress of investigation is not necessary and he may be granted anticipatory bail. 4.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner, namely, Pankaj Rai @ Pankaj Kumar Rai, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down Signed By : ARUP KUMAR DAS High Court of Calcutta 13 th of December 2024 04:32:16 PM
