Saha ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Antarikhya Basu Ms. Sonali Bhar ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that there has been alleged recovery of 27.86 kg of ganja along with two arms from the three accused persons and the present petitioner is in custody for one year seven months fifteen days, as such, on any stringent condition, the petitioner may be released on bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that out of the 12 witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution, nine witnesses have been examined and the two independent seizure list witnesses support the case of the prosecution. Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, the learned Special Court is directed to pronounce the verdict of this case after completing the examination under section 313 of the Cr.P.C. and defence witnesses, if any, by 30th April, 2025.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1665 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
