Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. She submits that there are statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicating the petitioner in the incident. Moreover, there are criminal antecedents so far as the petitioner is concerned.

Four persons died in the incident. The petitioner is one of the persons named by eye-witnesses and said to be involved in the incident.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 6060 of 2022 is dismissed.
