Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Rafiqul Islam, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of Gopalnagar Police Station Case No.142 of 2023 dated 09.03.2023. Learned advocate submits that chargesheet has already been submitted in connection with the instant case but the documents under Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure are yet to be supplied. The next date has been fixed by the learned court on 27.06.2024 for supply of copies. Having regard to the fact that more than six months are there till the next date is fixed, the learned Magistrate would ensure regarding the supply of copies on the said date, if not possible within a week thereafter. The learned Magistrate thereafter would either decide the case himself or transfer the case to any other

Judicial Magistrate who would fix a date within a month for concluding the issue relating to framing/consideration of charges. If after consideration of charge the learned Magistrate is of the opinion that the trial of the case is to proceed, then in that case, the learned trial court would fix one date in a month so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a very reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties. All efforts be made to conclude the trial at the earliest. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4740 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
