Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

It is submitted by the alleged contemnors, which is not disputed by the learned advocate representing the petitioner, on instruction that the principal sum payable under the order of contempt has been already paid. The only outstanding issue is the interest payable on the principal sum from the period it had fallen due till the date of actual payment as directed by the order under contempt.

On behalf of the alleged contemnors who are officers of the Corporation owned by the State, it is submitted that the interest component shall be paid at the earliest. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of by allowing the alleged contemnors, the State authorities as also State owned Corporation to pay the interest by 28th November, 2025.
