We have considered the materials on record. Allegations against the petitioner are general and omnibus. Injuries are not grievous. Petitioner does not stand on the same footing with co-accused viz. Suman Ghosh who had outraged the modesty of the lady. In view of the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the crime, we are of the opinion his custodial interrogation is not necessary and he may be granted anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner, namely, Bishnupada Roy @ Bistu Roy, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down Signed By : ARUP KUMAR DAS High Court of Calcutta 13 th of December 2024 04:32:16 PM
