1. By way of filing this public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that the Pradhan of the concerned Gram Panchayat has allotted various works without inviting e-tender.

2. Learned senior government pleader on instruction submits that the Block Development Officer, namely, the fifth respondent, has enquired into the matter and found no irregularity and illegality.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the seventh respondent submitted that since all the works were less than Rs.1,00,000/- e-tender process need not be initiated and as per the relevant rules quotations were invited and works were allotted. Further, it is submitted that the writ petition itself is motivated.

4. In any event, if a representation is submitted to the District Magistrate, Murshidabad, he shall look into the matter, call for a report from the Block Development Officer, being the fifth respondent as well as direct the Pradhan of the concerned Gram Panchayat, being the seventh respondent, to produce all records and a decision be taken on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
