And In Re : Sanjay Chowdhury ........ petitioner Mr. Parvej Anam ...... for the petitioner Mr. Partha Pratim Das, Ms. Manasi Roy ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody for 393 days. Co-accuseds are on bail. He prays for bail.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner is the husband and the housewife suffered homicidal death at the matrimonial home. We have considered the materials on record. Housewife suffered homicidal death at the matrimonial home. No explanation is offered by the petitioner-husband with regard to circumstance in which his wife was murdered.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offences, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
