The present case being Baranagar Police Station Case No.505 of 2010 is pending for more than 13 years under Sections 498A/304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code before the learned Fast Track, 4th Court, Barrackpore.

Learned advocate submits that only one witness is left to be examined and because of the Presiding Officer not being available, the evidence could not be completed. Having considered the period which has lapsed, I direct that within six months from the next date so fixed, the learned trial court will pronounce its verdict.

Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate appearing for the State will communicate with the concerned D.C-in-Charge of Baranagar Police Station who would take effective steps for making

the witness/witnesses available on the date so fixed and see to it that for the sake of absence of the witness, the timeline is not stretched.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4756 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
