Praying for a direction upon the respondents to cancel the final merit list published on 4th August, 2008 on the basis of 8th Regional Level Selection Test 2007 held for filling up the post of Assistant Teachers in recognised Non-government Aided Junior High/High/Higher Secondary School, the present writ petition was preferred. I am of the considered view that by efflux of time the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
