The Inspector-in-charge, Burdwan Police Station has filed a report dated 13th March, 2023 in Court today, which is taken on record.

It appears therefrom that in respect of Burdwan Police Station Case No. 1429 of 2022 dated 3rd December, 2022, investigation has been completed and charge-sheet bearing C.S. No. 24 of 2023 dated 26th January, 2023 has been filed.

In that view of the matter, nothing further remains to be considered in this writ petition. However, since it is submitted that the chargesheet is not sustainable in law and that the petitioners were already granted protection by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court on 23rd December, 2022, the protection against coercive measures to the petitioners shall continue for a further period of four weeks from

date. The petitioners may take steps in accordance with law.

Since no affidavit has been called for from the State respondents, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by them.

The Court which the petitioners may approach shall proceed to consider the matter uninfluenced by any interim order or final observations made in these proceedings.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
