The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Ms. Ghosh, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate for the petitioners submit that although the petitioners are innocent of the charges levelled against them, yet they were charged for the alleged offence. Petitioners pray for the expeditious disposal of the case.

It is submitted that charge sheet has already been filed and unnecessarily the case is being dragged because of other accused persons not cooperating with the progress of the case.

Having considered the submission advanced by the petitioners and dates have been fixed before the jurisdictional court for appearance and supply of copies, I

direct that the learned trial court would ensure that the process of supply of copy be completed on the next date so fixed or within a month thereafter. Steps be taken for committing the case immediately after service of copy completed.

The sessions court would thereafter fix regular dates, preferably by way of fixing schedule consisting of 3 dates so that the trial is concluded within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4754 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
