Report submitted by the State reflects that Kotwali Police Station Case No.17 of 2023 dated 07.01.2023 was registered for investigation under Sections 406/420/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and till date the investigation is continuing. Having regard to the fact that more than two years have expired since the institution of the case and the Investigating Officer has prayed before the learned CJM, Paschim Medinipur on 14.01.2025 for a period of six months which has been allowed and an outer limit has been fixed on 14.07.2025 for submitting the report under Section 173 of the Cr.P.C., I direct that the superior officer of police in

the rank of Additional SP/SDPO would monitor the investigation of the case so that the same is taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 29039 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
