The writ petitioners asked for a writ of mandamus to allow them to participate in the interview scheduled to be held for filling up the post of clerk-cum-typist. The selection process was initiated in 2005.

By efflux of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view thereof, the writ petition and the connected application are disposed of.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
