The writ petitioner is personally present in Court.

The petitioner seeks protection against arrest and transfer of investigation to a third agency. He is named as an accused in three FIRs and is on bail. A fourth FIR being Goaltore Police Station, Paschim Medinipur Police Station Case No. 317 of 2022 dated 04.11.2022 has been registered against the petitioner. Kotwali Police Station has also registered cases against the petitioner.

The sum and substance of the allegations against the petitioner are that he is responsible for forging documents to enroll persons in West Bengal National Volunteers Force.

This Court sees absolutely no reason for interference in the instant case. It is ordered that the investigation be carried out effectively by the Kotwali Police Station as well as Goaltore Police Station, Paschim Medinipur.

Goaltore Police Station and/or Kotwali Police Station may take steps as they may be authorized in law.

The prayer for transfer of the case to a third agency is considered and refused.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any further order.

There will be no order as to costs.
