Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 9 months and has been implicated in connection with the instant case. It has also been contended that charge-sheet having been submitted, further custodial detention of the petitioner is unwarranted. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the case is at the stage of commitment.

Having regard to the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the stage of consideration of charges is over.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 56 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.
