Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the notice issued upon him by the investigating agency on 5th December, 2025. However, the petitioner undertakes to cooperate in investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that several complaints have been lodged against the employer of the petitioner and the present notice is only a ploy to tag the petitioner in the said cases.

It appears from the notice dated 5th December, 2025 that the petitioner has been directed to appear before the Bidhannagar Police Station in connection with a complaint lodged against him on 18th November, 2025. The notice has been issued after registration of the complaint. The petitioner is directed to appear before the concerned police station in response to the notice issued upon him within ten days from date. No coercive steps be taken against the petitioner subject to his cooperating in investigation. However, in course of investigation if the

Investigating officer finds that custodial interrogation of the petitioner may be required, he shall be at liberty to take necessary steps in accordance with law.

With the direction, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
