It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner there was a business transaction between his firm and that of the victim. The victim owed him money. In retaliation, a false case has been registered alleging kidnapping for ransom. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including statement of the victim. He stated petitioner was known to him through business connections. Petitioner had requested him to come to a spot for setting up of a new business. Thereafter petitioner along with others abducted him and took him to Malda wherefrom a demand of Rs.20 lakhs was made to his wife. At the intervention of police, victim was recovered. In light of the aforesaid incriminating materials and nature of crime, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
