We are informed petitioner no.1 has been arrested in the meantime.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail so far as petitioner no.1 namely, (1) Dipankar Halder @ Dipanker Halder is concerned stands dismissed as infructuous.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner no.2 is not the assailant. Principal assailant has been arrested. In view of extent of involvement of the petitioner no.2, we are of the opinion custodial interrogation of petitioner no.2 is not necessary and he may be granted anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, we direct in the event of arrest, the accused/petitioner no.2, namely, (2) Sanat Halder, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on further Signed By : ARUP KUMAR DAS High Court of Calcutta 16 th of December 2024 04:55:22 PM
