The petitioner's grievance is that despite having applied for a permanent connection and a quotation having been raised and the amount paid by the petitioner, no permanent electricity connection is being given to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL hands over certain documents to indicate that the quotation raised was for a temporary connection which is valid for 125 days.

The amount raised by way of the quotation corroborates with the rates for a temporary connection.

In such view of the matter, WPA 28042 of 2023 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to apply in appropriate format for a permanent electricity connection.

If so applied, the WBSEDCL shall expeditiously process the same and subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, give such connection to the petitioner preferably within a fortnight from the date of compliance of formalities by the petitioner.

The documents filed in court today be kept on record.

7.

There will be no order as to costs.

8.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
