1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks for grant of family pension in her favour.

3. The petitioner contends that the father of petitioner, late Sasanka Sekhar Bhowmik was an Assistant Teacher at Srikrishna Primary School, District Purba Medinipur. After discharging more than 33 years of satisfactory qualifying service, the petitioner's father retired from service on superannuation on 29th February, 1992. The Pension Payment Order was issued in favour of the petitioner's father on 4th July, 1994. The petitioner's father died on 12th February, 2012. The mother of the petitioner pre-deceased her father on 9th February, 2010. The husband of the petitioner died on 25th January, 2018. The petitioner is

the widowed daughter of the deceased employee. The petitioner made a representation on 26th August, 2025 before the appropriate authority for grant of family pension. However, the same is still pending with the authority. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Ms. Arpita Saha, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the representation of the petitioner be relegated to the appropriate authority for consideration and disposal.

5. Mr. Simanta Kabir, learned Advocate for the State leaves the matter to the discretion of this Court.

6. In view of such submissions, the respondent No.4, District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Medinipur is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26th August, 2025 in accordance with law, upon notice to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing of such order.

7. Learned Advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to the respondent No.4, for necessary compliance.

8. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition being WPA 29008 of 2025 stands disposed of.

9. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted.

10. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

11. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

12. There shall be no order as to costs.

13. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
