The applicant's contention is that the police authorities have not ensured safe passage of the applicant to his residence. This is a new cause of action. The writ petition was filed over some disputes with the sale deeds and consequent right, title and interest of the applicant. The court was of the opinion that no injunction could be passed by the writ court as the disputes were amenable to the jurisdiction of a civil court.

If the applicant feels unsafe or threatened, he is always at liberty to approach the police station, but there cannot be any proceeding for contempt.

Under such circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of. The contempt proceeding is dropped.
