Mr. Indranil Halder Ms. Neha Singh ....for the Petitioner Mr. Aayush Sharma ....for the CESC Limited The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

The CESC Limited is represented and submits that though they had attempted to install an electricity connection, they were resisted by the private respondents.

In view of the nature of essential services being provided by the CESC Limited, WPA 28888 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to provide the above electricity connection if so necessary with the assistance of the local police authorities being the respondent no. 3.

It is made clear that the entire cost for the police assistance would be borne exclusively by the petitioner.

It is clarified that the CESC Limited is permitted to carry out all statutory formalities, if necessary by excavating the land in accordance with law.

The above exercise is to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of passing of this order.
