The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Samantapara FP School under Gushkara-I Circle of DPSC, Purba Bardhaman. The petitioner is praying transfer to his home district at 24 Parganas (North).

The prayer since is for inter district transfer, the petitioner is required to follow the procedure prescribed by the Board under Principles and Procedures for Transfer of Teacher or Non-Teaching Staff in a Primary School between Two Primary Councils notified vide Notification No. 230/91-92 dated November 2, 1991. Paragraph 1 of the procedure thereof is quoted below:- "1. The Council from which transfer is sought, after receiving such application from the incumbent concerned, will consider the matter and record the Council's opinion and forward the case to the Council to which transfer is sought, for their comments and onward passing of such papers to the Board for decision."

The Chairman of Purba Bardhaman DPSC, the respondent no.6 herein, before whom the representation of the petitioner dated November 19, 2024 appearing at

page 32 of the writ petition is pending, is directed to take steps for disposal of the said representation following the procedure quoted above within a period of six weeks from the date of communication.

WPA 29284 of 2024 is thus dismissed without any order as to costs.
