State has submitted a report which reflects that the accused Jyoti Kanchan Roy surrendered before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 5th Court, Calcutta on 23.12.2024 and the learned Magistrate was pleased to fix next date on 01.09.2025 for hearing of charge.

Having considered the ambit of the writ petition and the purpose for which it was preferred, I am of the view that the same has been subserved. Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 29334 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
