Ray ....for the State Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that there has been no progress in connection with Dankuni P.S. Case No. 396/24. According to the petitioner, more than Rs. 87,00,000/- (eighty seven lakhs) of money is involved and the police authorities after registration of the case has not progressed with the investigation.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report in respect of the steps taken till date and the efforts which they have exhausted. Report reflects that certain steps have been taken with assistance of the special operation group of the Commissionerate. Be that as it may, petitioner is aggrieved because of the no progress of the investigation. In view of the steps so taken I grant liberty to the petitioner to prefer an application before the jurisdictional Magistrate after 45 days from date

wherein if a prayer is advanced for progress of the investigation. Learned Magistrate would call for a report and inform the petitioner regarding the further steps taken by the Investigating Agency.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 29412 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
