The petitioner is a para-teacher at Jahangirpur Surya Sen High School (H.S.), District : Nadia, she is praying general transfer to a school nearer to her residence on the ground that the distance between her school and the residence is more than 400 kilometres.

Mr. Jana, learned advocate for the petitioner prays that the concerned authority may be directed to consider her said prayer. Mr. Roy Mukheree, learned advocate for the District Project Officer, Sarva Siksha Mission, the respondent no. 2 herein submits that there is no rule for such general transfer for the para-teachers.

This Court, in the absence of such rule, is not inclined to pass such direction as prayed for.

WPA 28173 of 2023 is, therefore, dismissed without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
