And In the matter of: Anup Samanta @ Bhajahari and others ....Petitioners Mr. Rajdeep Mazumdar Mr. Pritam Roy Ms. Shyanti Poddar Mr. Soewel Bhattacharjee ...for the Petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Suman De ...for the State Learned counsel appearing for the accused petitioners submits before us inter alia that the accused petitioners are in custody for a considerable period and some of the co-accused persons had been enlarged on bail.

Learned counsel for the State has fairly opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners and submits that the offence committed by the petitioners is serious in nature. Having considered the rival submissions advanced by both the parties and on perusal of the materials gathered in the case diary, we find that the offence committed by the petitioners is serious in nature and committed in a diabolical manner. Considering the heinous offence and the manner by which offence committed, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.
