Anarul Sk. ... petitioner Ms. Minoti Gomes ... for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... for the State Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the witnesses were taking the name of the petitioner as one of the assailants. That apart, the petitioner has remained absconding for a long time. A proclamation has been issued against the petitioner. The trial against the other accused is proceeding. Considering the above, the other materials available in the case diary, the alleged role ascribed to the present petitioner and the fact that a proclamation has been issued against the petitioner, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
