Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner has claimed interest due to delayed payment of retiral dues since petitioner retired on superannuation on 29th February, 2008.

During course of hearing, an order dated 15th November, 2019 passed in a contempt proceeding being CPAN 287 of 2018 is placed for consideration which it at pages 20 to 22 of the writ petition. On perusal of the order dated 15th November, 2019, it appears that contempt proceeding is still pending and vide order dated 15th November, 2019 coordinate Bench observed the period in respect of which interest is payable will be calculated after release of retirement benefits to the petitioner. Moreover, alleged contemnors are directed to file affidavits of compliance.

Since aforesaid contempt proceeding is still pending, leave is granted to the petitioner to pursue the contempt proceeding for violation of the order dated 20th December, 2017.

Since at this stage writ petition need not be delved into, same stands disposed of.
