REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 5576 of 2023 In Re:- In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Belda Police Station Case No. 366 dated 17.08.2022 under Section 498A/302/304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. And In Re : Ananta Hati & Anr.

...... petitioners Mr. Navanil De Mr. Srinjan Ghosh ...for the petitioners Md. Anwar Hossain Ms. Pritha Pal ...for the State Petitioners before us are the in-laws of the victim. Apparently, the victim committed suicide within four years of marriage. The place of occurrence is the matrimonial home of the victim.

Neighbours implicate the petitioners before us in meting out torture to the victim. In fact, they claim that a number of mediations took place at the village level and after every mediation, family of the petitioners returned to their old habit of torturing the victim.

In view of such materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and the prayer for bail is rejected.

The application being CRM (A) 5576 of 2023 is dismissed.
