Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the father of the victim in question. The victim died in a hotel on 05.08.2023. After his death no proper investigation has been done by the police authorities. The body appears to have been taken out by some hotel staff. No register was seized. No CCTV camera was recovered. The scene of crime was totally disturbed. A proper investigation may be done in connection with the instant case.

Learned Senior Standing Counsel representing the State relies on the report and submits as follows.

Immediately after registration of an FIR witnesses were examined and necessary seizures were made including seizure of CCTV footages, articles from the place of occurrence and the relevant register of the hotel. A prompt postmortem was done on the dead body. The viscera has been sent to the FSL for obtaining a report. The same is awaited.

It appears that the investigation has been done in a regular manner. Necessary steps have been taken. It does not appear that relevant articles from the place of occurrence were not seized.

Let the investigation be concluded expeditiously and in accordance with law.

No further order need be passed in this regard. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
