1. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits there was a hot altercation and he had acted without pre-meditation. He prays for bail.

2. Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner threw acid on the face of his wife. Trial is in progress. In view of the nature of offence which led to permanent disfiguration in the face of the victim and as trial is in progress, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
