1. Petitioner, State and the de facto complainant are represented.

2. Petitioner prays for bail.

3. We perused the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

4. Victim implicates the petitioner not only in outraging her modesty but also blackmailing her and making lewd remarks as against her.

5. Enlarging the petitioner on bail, at this stage, will be inimical to the investigation. It would send a wrong signal to the society.

6. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

7. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

8. CRM (DB) 4221 of 2024 is dismissed.
