Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioners seek payment of the outstanding amount with admissible interest in connection with the work done by the petitioners in terms of the work order issued.

Repeated representations were made by the petitioners but the bills of the petitioners are yet to be settled and disbursed in its favour.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondents submits, upon instructions, that there are issues with the work done by the petitioners in almost all the work orders issued in its favour. 5.

Detailed instruction has been forwarded by the Executive Engineer, Electrical Division No.1, Housing Directorate signed on 18th December, 2024. A copy of the same has been handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioners in Court today.

The Superintending Engineer (Electrical), Housing and Planning Works, Public Works Department being the respondent no. 3 had afforded an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners but the final outcome of the hearing is yet to be made known. 7.

The Superintending Engineer is, accordingly, directed to take into consideration the prayer of the petitioners seeking disbursal of the dues in accordance with law, after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and by passing a reasoned order to be communicated to the petitioners at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 8.

If the amount or any part thereof claimed by the petitioners is admitted by the respondents, then the payment of the same shall be made in favour of the petitioners without any further delay.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
