It appears that the panchayat authorities have complied with the direction of the court, inasmuch as, the exercise to be completed by them under the law has been undertaken. Upon detection of illegal construction by the panchayat authorities, the SubDivisional Officer, Purba Medinipur has been forwarded all the documents. Now, steps are to be taken by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Purba Medinipur in accordance with Section 23(5) of the Panchayat Act, 1973.
