REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 5587 of 2023 In Re:- In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Jamuria Police Station Case No. 08 of 2023 dated 06.01.2023 under Section 294A/419/420/465/467/468/469/471/474/120B of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4 and 7(3) of the Lottery Regulation Act, 1998.

And In Re : Gopal Shaw ...... petitioner Mr. Avik Ghatak Mr. Amit Ranjan Pati Mr. F. Imam ...for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Mr. M. Mitra ...for the State Petitioner stands implicated in the printing and selling of fake lottery tickets.

Public were, therefore, misled and duped with regard thereto.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.

The application being CRM (A) 5587 of 2023 is dismissed.
