The petitioner has assailed the order passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Court, Assansol (in charge) on 19th July, 2016 in Sessions case no.76 of 2016 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him. Warrant of arrest was issued against the petitioner since he failed to appear before the learned Court on the said date. The petitioner seeks to surrender before the learned Court within a fortnight from date.

If the petitioner surrenders within a fortnight from date and files an application for bail, the learned Court shall deal with the application in accordance with law.

In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law.

Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner be stayed till 24th January, 2025.

CRR 5232 of 2024 is disposed of.
