Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the appeal was preferred in the year 2022 being Criminal Appeal No.77 of 2022 and is presently pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 2nd Court, Barasat.

The subject matter of the appeal relates to the provisions of PWDV Act. Having considered the innocuous prayer so advanced by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, I direct that the learned appellate court would take efforts so that the appeal is disposed of on the next date so fixed or within 60 days thereafter, under no circumstances the learned appellate court would stretch the timeline for pronouncing its verdict.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 4840 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
