Mr. Subhankar Bose ...for the petitioner This is an application wherein the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No. 4187 of 2025 presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Baruipur, South 24 Parganas.

Petitioner's contention is that the petitioner on 3rd April, 2025 lodged a complaint at Baruipur Police Station to the effect that day one Masirul Laskar had stolen his bus being registration No. WB19G-8950. On the basis of said complaint the aforesaid Baruipur Police Station Case No. 1012/2025 dated 25.5.2025 was started under Section 303(2) of BNS. It is submitted that the investigation is still pending and police has not yet submitted final report in either form nor has completed the investigation after expiry of considerable period of time. Accordingly, he prayed for necessary direction upon the Court below.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if it is allowed in terms of the prayer made by the petitioner the opposite party will have no cause to prejudice and as such service of copy of application upon the opposite party is dispensed with.

In view of the above, the instant application being CRR 5490 of 2025 is hereby disposed of directing the Court below to make every endeavour for expeditious hearing of the said proceeding and if required he will make necessary direction upon the investigating agency to expedite the process of investigation.
