Petitioner approached this court as he was duped by the private respondent no. 5 for providing job as also for providing ration dealership licence. To that effect, petitioner complains that he paid a sum of Rs. 22.5 lakhs to the respondent no. 5.

Grievance of the petitioner was that in spite of informing the police station, no case was registered.

Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report which reflects that Techno City Police Station Case No. 251/2023 dated 20.12.2023 has been registered for investigation against the accused.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved that the police authorities are

neither putting in efforts to trace out the respondent no. 5 as also the money trail so involved. To that effect, in the report it is reflected that there are number of General Diary Entries which would go to show the number of raids conducted and also the steps taken for freezing of five bank accounts of the respondent no. 5.

Police authorities have been pursuing their act and actions by putting in efforts. It is directed that the police authorities would seek permission from the learned Magistrate in seisin of the case for executing harsher process of law. If required, both for the purposes of tracing out the accused as also to trace out further bank accounts, if any, where subject matter relating to the case may be involved. With the aforesaid observations WPA 28394 of 2023 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
