The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, being aggrieved by the failure on the part of the respondent authorities - WBSEDCL to grant an electricity connection, which is essential for carrying out his agricultural activities. 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of plot No.467, J.L. No.216, Mouza: Banshthupi, P.S. Gazole, Dist. Malda. He had installed a submersible pump for carrying out his agricultural activities and applied for electricity connection on 06.03.2024. The Petitioner further contended that, till date, respondent-WBSEDCL has neither conducted the requisite inspection nor issued a quotation for the same. 4.

The said fact is disputed by the learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL and a copy of the quotation is handed over to the learned Advocate for the petitioner in court today. 5.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client will comply with all the necessary formalities. 6.

Learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL assures this court that in case all necessary formalities are complied with

by the petitioner, electricity connection shall be granted to the petitioner expeditiously.

In view of the abovementioned assurance made by the learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client does not wish to press the present writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. 9.

There shall be no order as to costs.
