1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. The petitioner's grievance is that the petitioner sought for electricity connection to operate his submersible pump, but the electricity connection has not been given by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).

3. Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL submits on instruction that it was ascertained that the petitioner has not complied with the statutory formal requirements. It is submitted that no submersible pump could be located at the premises initially.

4. However, it is submitted by learned counsel for the parties that in the meantime such formalities have been complied with by the petitioner and now there is no impediment to give electricity connection to the petitioner to operate his submersible pump.

5. Accordingly, WPA No. 28403 of 2023 is allowed on contest, thereby directing the WBSEDCL to give electricity connection to the petitioner within a fortnight from date, subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioner.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
