The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, being aggrieved by the failure on the part of the respondent authorities - WBSEDCL to grant an electricity connection, which is essential for carrying out of his agricultural activities. 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of plot No.280, J.L. No.155, Mouza: Pirpara, P.S. Gazole, Dist. Malda. He had installed a submersible pump for carrying out his agricultural activities and applied for electricity connection on 23.10.2024. Respondent-WBSEDCL authorities till date has not carried out any inspection work nor has provided any quotation amount for the same.

Learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL submits that quotation amount for the electricity connection has already been raised and the petitioner has duly paid the said amount. He further assures this Court that in case all necessary formalities are complied with by the petitioner, electricity connection shall be granted to him expeditiously.

In view of the abovementioned assurance made by the learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client does not wish to press the present writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. 7.

There shall be no order as to costs.
