In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. Sessions case 375 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 3rd Court, Barasat, be quashed. The petitioner be set at liberty at once and discharged from his bail bond.

CRR 5260 of 2024 and the application, being CRAN 1 of 2025 are disposed of.
