Mr. Prosenjit Mukherjee Ms. Babita Pramanik ... for the petitioner Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee ... for the ADM, Zila Parishad Mr. Sandipan Banerjee ... for the contemnor nos.1 & 2 Learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor filed an affidavit of compliance, inter alia, stating that the Block Development OfficerMurarai-II had removed the unauthorised occupancy and taken possession over the land on 8th February, 2025 on behalf of the Birbhum Zila Parishad. The proceeding of case No.04/Public land/SDO/RPH/2024 was initiated and disposed of by the Sub Divisional Officer, Ranaghat, under the provision of the West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1962.

The Photographs endorsing such eviction as well as removal of unauthorised occupancy had been annexed with the report. It was further submitted

that out of seven unauthorised occupancy six had been removed in its entirety except a Mosque that had been situated amongst such unauthorised construction which was also taken under possession with final decision awaiting from the concerned authority to deal with it in future. As per the report of compliance as filed by the learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor the grievance of the petitioner has already resolved. The petitioner has egress and ingress to his property without any encumbrance. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned authority for any future encumbrance to his ingress and egress. The delay in filing the compliance report is condoned.

Contempt application is accordingly, disposed of.
