Mr. Nigam Ashish Chakraborty Mr. Debabrata Guha Mr. Agniva Banerjee Ms. Ankita Paul ...for the petitioner This application pertains to G.R. case no. 1042 of 2022, presently pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Serampore Hooghly where after submission of charge-sheet by the police, the charge has been framed against the petitioner under Section 279/338 of the IPC and out of seven witnesses, charge-sheeted witness nos. 1, 2 and 4 have already been examined and the next date is fixed on 28th April, 2026 for examination of other charge-sheeted witnesses. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant application being CRR 5522 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to examine the remaining four witnesses on the next date or preferably within a period of three months thereafter and to pronounce the judgment preferably within a period of one month thereafter. Urgent Photostat certified of this order, duly applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
