For the Petitioner Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of G.R. case no. 2216 of 2010 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that charge-sheet has been submitted in 2010 and case was committed to the learned Sessions Judge, North 24 Parganas at Barasat on 4th May, 2019. Charges have been framed. But witness action is yet to commence.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR 5287 of 2024 is disposed of.
