The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Case No. VIII-07/2019, now pending before the 8th Industrial Tribunal. There is presently no Presiding Officer in the 8th Tribunal for want of candidates to fill up vacancies.

Let Case No. VIII-07/2019 be transferred to the 7th Industrial Tribunal for expeditious disposal.

It is expected that the said reference is disposed of preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The State shall take expeditious steps to fill up all vacancies in the Industrial Tribunal and Labour Courts. Let a copy of this order be sent to the Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of West Bengal by the petitioner.

The Registrar General of this Court shall also take necessary steps to ensure filling up all the vacancies in the Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunals. There are huge number of cases pending disposal before the said Tribunals and Courts.

Let a copy of this order also be sent to the Registrar General of this Court.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

8.

There shall be no order as to costs.

9.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
