The petitioners who are and/or were employees of North Bengal State Transport Corporation (in short 'NBSTC'), claim to be entitled to the second Career Advancement Scheme (in short 'CAS') benefit, but have been deprived of the same though similarly placed employees have received such second CAS benefit. The petitioners say that they have repeatedly ventilated their grievances by submitting representations to their employer (NBSTC), but such representations have remained unaddressed and as such the issue remains unresolved.

After hearing the parties and considering the materials on record, I direct the respondent no.2 to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated November 29, 2023 which appears at page 39 of the

writ petition by a reasoned order within a period of two months from the date of communication of a server copy of this order without insisting upon production of a certified copy thereof. The petitioners, if necessary, shall be given a personal hearing.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

Since I have not called for affidavits, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
